News Straight From The Small Screen: Butt-chugging

I never would have guessed that a South Park episode from a decade ago could have predicted the downfall of the human race. This week a frat brother from the University of Tennessee was hospitalised for alcohol poisoning after squirting wine up his bum in an attempt to get drunker quicker. This act is called butt-chugging and should definitely not be tried at home.

His blood alcohol content after the chugging was 0.4 while a 0.05 will put you over the SA legal limit for driving. The episode in question is Red Hot Catholic Love (Season 6, Episode 8 ). Cartman manages to convince a nation that eating through one’s butt is healthier than the traditional method. I guess this news makes Trey Parker and Matt Stone pioneers and far ahead of their time.

Game Of Thrones Without Special Effects

Today I got hated on once again for still not watching Game of Thrones even though I am a so called series buff. Even if I haven't seen it I can still appreciate this video of GoT without some of the special effects. I am constantly amazed at what can be done in this area. It just blows my mind.



P.S. If you didn't know yet, Game of Thrones returns for a 3rd season on my March 2013.

Series Watch: Cougar Town is almost back!

My favourite TV show of all time is returning to the small screen in January on their new home at TBS. The show will be airing its 4th season after narrowly escaping cancellation on ABC. To spread the word the crew have released a music video. The original song aptly titled "We're back" features the Cul-de-sac crew in their native habitat with wine glass in hand and a very catchy tune. There are even some cameos from Scrubs alumni and Danny Pudi as Abed. If you're a newcomer to the show, I would highly recommend that you catch up with the previous seasons. I will be posting a Catch Up feature closer to the time.

Welcome to my little corner of the web. I've been looking for a way to share all my TV thoughts on a platform longer than 140 characters so I decided to create Chocolate Bear Hugs. I hope to give you a different viewpoint on the media you consume and also inform of the latest and greatest shows I can recommend. I'm also planning on sharing my favourite viral links from the weird side of the web that usually takes 2 weeks to get to the mainstream.

With the USA TV season just starting anew I'll be trying to cover some of the new and returning shows you haven't heard of yet. The first show getting the Chocolate Bear treatment will be 'Don't Trust The Bitch in Apartment 23' which returns to ABC this evening.
